EAGLE ELECTRIC LIGHTER REPAIR GUIDE
1. Remove the 6-32 screw (B) from the bottom of the lighter.
2. Push the power cord up and expose the internal parts of the Eagle lighter body.
3. Remove the two 3/16 nuts (E) to disconnect the power cord.
4. Take off the insulator disc (C) and ball retainer (D) and contact ball (P).
5. Pry off the bezel (M) by un-crimping the bezel in 3 places. Remove old mica disc (O) and replace with a new disc.
6. Remove long and short screws (I) and (J). Note: long screw had the ni-chrome wire attached.
7. Remove brass 3/16 nut (F) from inside brass contact cup (G).
8. Remove small center brass screw (K). Note how the ni-chrome wire was attached.
9. Reassemble by removing corrosion build up on contact ball (P) and ball retainer (D).
10. Wrap ni-chrome wire (L) around long screw (I) and insert in correct hole.
11. Wrap ni-chrome wire around small brass screw (K) and insert in center hole. Holding the screw (K) in place, turn the ceramic core (H) around and insert brass contact cup (G) on the brass screw (K) add brass nut (F).
12. Insert short screw (J) in hole and carefully lay in ni-chrome wire (L) in serpentine track. Add bezel and re-crimp.
13. Lay in contact ball (P) followed by the ball retainer (D). Add one power cord (A) terminal to short screw (J) and place insulator disc (C) on the 2 screws. Add the other power cord terminal to the long screw (I) and install both 3/16" nuts (E).
14. Insert the internal parts assembly into the Eagle lighter body using the 6-32 screw (B).
Caution: Be sure all connections are done correctly. There may be a small amount of smoke emitted initially.
